Check in the Florregelium - I don't know which file it would be in but we 
have discussed baking coffins and pouring fillings in, and I also believe 
that a few websites with reproductions of period art showing the cook using 
a vessel tied to the end of a peel to pour a custard[?] into a partially 
baked shell. To me, this qualifies as blind baking...

[IIRC, in 'Take a Thousand Eggs' Cindy has a wood block print reproduced 
that shows this...]
