Join us in showcasing the arts and sciences for Known World Arts and=
 Sciences
2001!
we are hoping to bring out the best of the best, and would love you to be=
 part
of it, either as a participant or as an instructor.=20
note that there's a whole track being devoted to culinary arts!!! we
especially
need classes like sugar plate (hint) and garnishing and lecture classes that
dont require a kitchen, while we search for a satisfactory way to provide
hands
on cooking classes as well.

The Location:  The beautiful Barony of Madrone, mundanely known as Seattle,=
 WA
is the site for KWAS 2001.  Madrone is located in the Kingdom of An Tir. =20
The Site: The DoubleTree Inn Sea-Tac - (206) 246-8600 1840 Pacific Highway=
 S.
Seattle, WA 98188.  Transportation to the hotel is provided 24 hours a day=
 and
leaves every 15 minutes from the airport.
Getting There:  The airport serving the area is Sea-Tac International=
 Airport,
conveniently located across the street from the event site.  The site is=
 also
located conveniently off Interstate 5 between Seattle and Tacoma.

Instructors
If you are interested in teaching a class, please complete our Instructor=
 form
and return to Constance Davies   teresa-brent at msn.com by March 1.   The
instructor form can be found on the event website at the URL listed at the
bottom of the page.
We're hoping to have instructors from all over the Known World=
 participating!
If we are able to include your class, you will be contacted by the Ithra
Classes Coordinator.  Download a printable version of the Instructor form at

Students
 We are expecting to be able to offer some wonderful classes at this
symposium.
Catalogs will be available this summer. Keep checking for more information.

Catalogs will be available Summer 2001. Course descriptions, registration
forms
and general class information will be available at that time as well as
available via the website.
Schedules=20
Check-in begins at 8:30 AM. Class sessions are expected to run from 9:00 AM=
 -
1:00 PM and 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
Registration=20
Registration will be available both on-line and through the catalog. Check
back
for more information after the catalog is published.
Theme Tracks=20
We will be having six tracks of classes which fall into these basic
categories;  Costuming  - Fighting  - Cooking  - Arts  - Sciences -
Encampments
 (If you don't think your class fits, contact us anyway! We will find a=
 place
for it!)
