Well, I have been to Morocco, but it was a long time
ago, in 1978. While I can't say for sure if the
conditions have changed, I doubt that they have.
Don't drink anything but bottled water. Use bottled
water even for brushing your teeth. Don't eat any
fresh fruit that doesn't have a thick peel. Bananas
and citrus fruits are okay, but not apples, plums,
apricots etc. Dysentery is not fun. I came down with
it while I was there, even tho' I thought I was being
careful.

Hopefully, you are not traveling alone. It is not
safe for an American woman to travel alone in Muslim
countries. Pack with lots of room to bring back lots
of souvenirs. But it would be better to pack modest
clothes for yourself. Long skirts, long sleeves, no
plunging necklines. While they have some great
museums with great late period costumes, they don't
allow photographs, no matter how nicely you ask.

I went to a special Moroccan dinner that one of the
hotels put on for the tourists. The food was great.
Big trays of couscous with varying meats and veggies
that we ate communally from with our fingers. They
offered as entertainment a "belly dancer" who was
dreadful and a wonderful young man who did a dance
with a tray full of lit candles balanced on his head.

But all this was from 1978. I would like to think
that things have improved since then, but I doubt that
they have.

I hope that you have fun.

Huette
