SC - Has anyone ever canned persimmons?

Canned persimmons are ....well...they are slimy yucky mush. :-) If you want 
to preserve them for future use it is far better to freeze them. Indeed, 
persimmons are much better flavored and have a better texture after a good 
freeze.
