Harrumph!  I just get back from vacation and I find
that there are people insinuating that there is an
elephant stroking my back in my houppelande!!!!

Well, I will have you know that I "have seen the
elephant" [a period phrase], but I would never let it
stroke my back!!!!  Secondly, I may have used 16 yards
of fabric for my houppelande, but it would never fit a
full grown elephant.  Thirdly, because of the 16 yards
of fabric, one should never go swimming in my
houppelande, unless you are prepared to drown.

Now if Stefan or Ademantius wish to stroke my back,
that would be entirely different ...
