Make a period few sauces to top the hamburgers with.

Green (vert) garlic sauce
yellow pepper sauce
mustard sauce

All can be found in most of the period cookbooks from any country and century.

I also like a fine cake recipe - it looks like, feels like biscotti but tastes like licorice.
