One caution about clove oil for those who might not know:

It is a fairly effective topical anesthetic, so keep that in mind when
making anything with it.  Apart from the numbing of the tastebuds that is
bound to happen, it's pretty potent stuff overall, so a little goes a LONG
way... :)

Yet another reason recipes that call for cloves usually specify a number of
_individual_cloves_.  Caution is the better part of valor when increasing
these amounts.  I usually make food and drink to consume before socializing,
not to consume before going to the dentist. :)
