SC - Re: Worst Critique Ever

Greetings unto all!

I personally know both individuals involved in this. Let me say that Master
Llew is knowledgable and was of great assistance to me at our event last
spring.

Sometimes there are individuals who, for what ever reason, haven't sought
the professional or medical guidance they need . Often this type of person
seems to antagonize almost everyone they come in contact with. They don't
represent the ideals of chivalry and honor, and with only a few words, they
manage to give this impression to everyone else. Sadly, the knowledge and
skills of this type of person are so overshadowed by their "illness" that a
great many people fail to see anything but the "illness". And the "Illness"
is so overpowering that until this type of person makes a personal decision
to get help for themselves that is all anyone will ever see. I have seen
the "illness", and like an elephant in the middle of your living room, you
can try to ignore it, but it won't go away.

I am asking the list to get on with the intent of this list. But to
confront directly and privately and implore these kind of individuals to get
help for themselves so that perhaps someday we can see past the "disease" to
the person underneath.

And both had some bad points also, not the least of which was using more
than a bit of inflammatory writing. On both sides.

If you would be willing to, I'd like to hear more details about this feast,
how you salvaged this feast and then what went wrong with the feast hall
layout to cause problems in the serving. These are the kinds of things
that I like to have detailed for my fst-disasters-msg file. Not to hold
someone up for criticism, for often these are self-told tales, but so
that others might learn from the mistakes of others and perhaps avoid
repeating the same mistakes. If the teller wishes they may certainly
hide which feast it was.

I would like to see this done. While Phlip was overly caustic in some
of her comments, Master Llewellyn also failed to answer some of her
questions. I'm afraid I haven't got time to go over the critique again
right now, but one I remember was the comment on the use of fetticine
noodles at an oriental feast. Upon what basis was that decision made?
As I mentioned in another recent message, I think that the wrong
choice of noodles can drastically alter the taste and texture of a
dish.
