It's not just the reporter, it's the author.  If she was doing a book on 
medieval foods, then why include recipes using baking powder (I can forgive 
that on the basis of 'familiar texture for modern eaters) and chocolate 
(which is just plain wrong).  There were some other errors that seem to come 
from the author, not the reporter.
