SC - Help wanted

I'm almost done with my revising, and will soon be sending the
manuscript off to my gracious proofreader. In addition, I am looking
for other kinds of help.

1. I need a monoglot. I need someone who has never studied
Spanish (no, not even a class in high school in which they didn't
pay attention) to take a look at my rough draft. I am too close to
this project to have any sense of how it will look to someone who
does not know the original language, and has not been extensively
working with other period Spanish texts. Have I footnoted too
much? Too little? Is my glossary listing obvious words and leaving
out some toughies? I could really use an outside perspective. You
need to be able to handle a 332k attachment in your email, and be
able to read a Microsoft Word '97 file.

2. I could use a HTML expert to help me web this thing, after the
proofreading is done. My skills are very limited, and I only have
experience in using the homepages-for-dummies applications at
Geocities and Tripod. However, for various reasons, I want to put
this baby on my (currently unused) IDT homepage. This means
having a prepared file that I can upload to my shell account.
Cariadoc has kindly offered to do the HTML for me, but suggested
that there might be someone on this list who is more experienced
in sophisticated HTML techniques. The document contains 243
recipes, and currently runs to 73 pages. (It may expand slightly,
when I adjust the pagination.)

Are there are any gentles out there who are willing and able to take
on either task? I can offer my eternal gratitude, and a chance to be
one of the first ones on the block to see The Whole Thing.
