1. My article discusses period or near period (and so possibly 
period) apple varieties that are still available, of which there are 
several. Unfortunately, although you can get the trees from 
nurseries, none of the apples are routinely available in grocery 
stores. Summer Rambos used to be available in the area of Pennsic at 
about the time of Pennsic, but I haven't been able to find them there 
for many years. Lady apples occasionally show up in grocery stores 
around Christmas.

2. I'm pretty sure that Sops of Wine is not the same thing as winesap.
