mi'Lady... this comment confused me.  I buy Libby's 100% pumpkin when I buy
packed pumpkin and I checked the ingredient (singular) label and it said
"pumpkin".   is this excluded from your "a lot of" or are you saying that
this isn't actually pumpkin or is artificially colored without it's being
labeled as such?  or are you referring to some other brand(s)?

i've never cooked pumpkin pie from scratch, but after your note I'll be
buying some sugar pumpkins and baking them to make puree to see how it
comes out and what the taste difference is.  since the pumpkin that I buy
has always said simply "pumpkin", i didn't expect there to be a difference.
