It is 'common' here. I was also asked to cook a feast for another shire and
had the same leeway in menu planning. I would say that for the Kitchen
Steward to not have complete control over their menus (within the event
theme) is quite rare if not nonexistent in this neck of the woods. I am sure
that Dame Aiofe and others from this area would most heartily agree.
While the Autocrat is kept informed of what is happening, he/she has little
or no say in the actual menu used for any said event. Suggestions may be
given but there is no obligation to follow such suggestions.
