And I repeat the same question I asked the last time: does anyone have an
information about guild tests for Master Chef in period? That's the
closest thing I can think of, and if what I remember reading.. an oral
examination followed by having the cook prepare a feast for the 'masters'
... is accurate, it might be another fun thing to try to re-create as a
competition or exhibition on cooking.

Seems to me that it might be a good idea to bring cooking as an art out
where people could watch it once in a while: as it stands, you get to
watch cooks do their stuff if you are helping in their kitchens, which
means that people know a lot about the product but less about the
process...
