Well, here's a question: do we have references to salads eaten in
_autumn_? Late summer sowings and cut-and-come-again greens (as directed
in Le Menagier (according to Tanya Bayard's translation) would be ready
then. Someone mentioned salads for autumn in a feast planning class I
took.
