It is sweet and sour. The recipe uses sugar, vinegar, oil, eggs and paprika. 
Comparatively speaking mayonnaise is bland and lacks the tang of Miracle Whip 
type salad dressings. I  prefer it over mayo in egg salad but can handle mayo 
in tuna if I have to. :-) It also makes a much better sandwich  with peanut 
butter than mayo. :-)
