Baking soda added to any vegetable while improving the looks and other
aspects of the dish also destroys vitamins. Of course, this is not a problem
if your diet is varied. But some folks seem to be focused on a very small
group of foods that they will actually eat. So those folks should NEVER use
baking soda in their dishes outside of baking, IMO.
