I have not yet tried making the recipe you posted, but will try to make time on Sunday evening.  It looks as though it could be congruous from what I know, but is there reason to believe it goes back beyond the 1933 creation date listed by Kraft?  Miracle Whip is actually the name of the machine used to make it, so the source of formulas could actually be anything.  I look forward to more info in this thread since this is my sandwich/salad goo of choice.  I'll research Kraft to see what I can add.
