Hi to all.
I have been lurking out here for a couple of years, getting the digest. I
have a question for those of you who feastcrat in kingdoms where your group
also is required to serve breakfast the next day. Our local event was in
August and our feastcrat did a wonderful job on a Sicilian feast. Afterwards,
she saved all the sausage, bread and shrimp that was left over and untouched
so that I (the breakfastcrat) would have them to serve the next morning.
Sometime in the night, a group of people raided the refrigerator and took all
the leftovers and some of the breakfast food, and ate it. The next morning,
we had enough breakfast (thanks to the freezer) but not as much as we had
counted on. I have no problem with them eating the leftovers, but taking some
of the breakfast supplies really got to me. We have never had this problem
before. The kitchen is open and unlockable. The only fridge has to remain
available for various reasons and cannot be locked.
Have any of you been confronted with this situation before? What was your
solution? Would a mere sign on the fridge be effective, or should we start
hiding our supplies in locked containers? I'd like your input, but please, no
speculation on who, where, etc., this happened. I consider it my
responsibility to secure the breakfast food, something I did not do.
Since I'm on digest and may not get to your responses quickly, please feel
free to e-mail me privately at ldulin at aol.com
Thank you all
