My husband is a computer programmer/technician. When he gets home tonight,
I will ask him about your problem.

Subject: SC - a perplexing computer problem
I am hoping that there will be a computer person on
this list who can help me with this problem, which
just has started to appear in the last four days. I
am not sure what to do and I hope that you will give
me suggestions as to how to correct this problem.
My problem is this:
Whenever anyone uses the word "medieval", it appears
on my computer as "medireview". This is not how the
original poster originally spelled the word. I know
this because when I first noticed this a few days ago,
I was going to question the poster as to what the word
meant, only to discover after I clicked on the reply
button, that the word mysteriously reverted back to
the proper spelling. When I cancelled the message, I
looked again at the word in the message, thinking that
I was going crazy, "medireview" was back again in
place of "medieval". However, lest any think that I
am going nuts, I have printed out one of the posts
where this has happened and "medireview" is printed
instead of "medieval". So I have documentation. And
after four days of this, I am certain it isn't just a
one time fluke.
Does anyone with computer experience know what is
going on here? Is this a problem with my computer or
could this be a problem with my ISP? Or something
else entirely.
Thanks.
Huette
