SC - shy, new person at events

I remember my very first event, it was a Stargate Yule Revel over 15 years
ago.  The food was awful but the people were great.  I ended up helping
sweep up and was one of the last people out of the hall, ...been doing so
ever since.

So just jump right in!   No one really knows you are new they just know they
haven't met you yet.
