Pennyroyal has an awesome, distinctive flavor. The closest I've found
to it is something called Mountain Mint. I don't know the latin name.
I've found it twice under the name "Mountain Mint," though.

If you get the chance to taste pennyroyal, do (unless you're pregnant,
of course. Better safe than sorry.) It takes a tremendous amount of
the stuff to actually hurt a person. And the flavor is so distinctive,
you can't really know how to substitute for it unless you know what it
tastes like. I wouldn't serve it to anybody, but I wouldn't hesitate to
sample a leaf.
