SC - Footnotes

I personally prefer more rather than less in the way of footnotes.  I find that
they, if well-done, provide all sorts of auxilliary information, even if I'm
familiar with the item being footnoted.  So no, I don't find them a nuisance,
but rather an additional source of knowledge!
