Yup.  IIRC North Carolina barbeque isn't.  And the dish my grandfather made
definitely was not sweet...didn't even contain tomatoes!  Here's the recipe:

Georgia-style Barbeque

Rub a pork roast with salt and pepper, and cook in a 350 oven until it can be
shredded with a pork.

Take the pan juices and put them into a sauce pan.  Add apple cider vinegar,
prepared mustard and the juice of 1 lemon, along with more pepper to taste and
bring to a boil.

Shred the pork in a baking dish and pour the sauce over it.  Spiral slice a
lemon and place on top of the pork.  Bake at 400 until browned on top and
bubbley.

I'm sorry that I can't remember quantities, but you know how it is!  I hope
you'll enjoy this!
