No idea.  Nola has no recipes for turnip.  Granado has a few, but none 
are in bacon.  The nearest recipe I can find in the Mediterranean corpus 
is one that appears in both Platina and the Neopolitan collection -- 
turnips cooked in broth, mashed, then cooked briefly with salt pork, 
pepper and saffron.
