This was quoted unattributed in Katja's post - anyway - i made a 
faulx ypocras for the Boar Hunt in December - the site, a Boy Scout 
Camp, was dry. My faulx ypocras seemed to be popular - the only 
reason there was even a cupful left was that we had a deep ladle and 
served it in a stock pot, so it was not possible to get the last cup 
out without tipping over the pot, which, being in the Hall, would 
have looked unseemly - well, i did it, but hey, i was the Head Cook.

I used equal quantities of frozen UNSWEETENED purple and white grape 
juice, cut with a small amount of frozen cranberry juice. The spices 
were all period and derived from 2 or 3 recipes - The recipe, etc., 
is on the Boar Hunt webpage...

I was inspired to try this by several people on this very list - i
