Must be a difference in kingdoms. The first royalty I met insisted on
paying their event/feast fees, even after paying their own way north (we're
talking San Francisco to Alaska, folks). They said it was their way of
supporting the group's activities. When we've hosted kingdom/principality
royalty, we've left it to their manners as to whether or not they paid. We
didn't nag them to pay, and thanked them when they did.

If the cooks want to do something special, like serve quail, etc., it's
been the personal donation of the cooks or other members of the group. We
just don't expect everyone to pay for what they won't be eating. Granted,
we're talking about a fairly small group, but the theory is good.
