Although that doesn't give us anything about how a bear would taste, or a
crocodile (ask Crocodile Dundee, I saw the ad for the new movie
yesterday...)

I have a friend who bow hunts and once got a record size bear out in
Colorado that had been terrorizing ranchers (it had been wounded by a rifle
bullet) and who never wants to get that close to a bear again. We shared
bear stew which was tasty. The bear was tough and a little gamy. I also had
some bear once in Oregon that was taken at the time the salmon was running
and it was a little fishy. I have heard that bears that have been eating
berries are a little sweet but can't confirm. Lainie get your mind out of
the gutter, I'm not talking about my husband. Margarite
