Buttermilk is what is left after you churn the
butter. Yes, it is "sour" and very tasty, much
more so than the "cultured" stuff found in wax
cartons in the dairy case.
THE way to eat cornbread is to take it hot from
the pan and crumble it up in a glass of ice cold
buttermilk......ambrosia!
