I'm with you on that.  We used to drink lots of coconut water when we would 
be out in the rough mud-sliding or surfing or other mischief.  No one back 
then ever thought of taking along a canteen or cooler.  We just knocked 
fruit out of trees or collected the windfalls and ate and drank.  I don't 
recall anyone ever having any side effects.
