This ranting, no doubt young person, reminds me of a story i heard on 
a historic costuming list.

A high school girl wore a knit wool sweater to school one cold day. 
She was accosted by another girl, who cried out at the cruelty of it 
all, "Don't you know how many sheep died to make your sweater?!?!"

Needs a good whap with a clue stick...
