Note that this is in response to this line:

Notice that here I am threatening physical harm if and only if the
gentleman writing the original note threatened physical harm to something
that is legally MY PROPERTY, that is, my pet.

Note: I don't think this about senstitivity, by the way. I think not
attacking people for their diet is a matter of courtesy. Sensitivity is
about actually giving a damn what people think and feel-- to be courteous
you need merely avoid being rude to them about it.
