Alcohol is fine.  The main prohibitions were (IIRC) no meat (pork, chicken, 
beef, or game), no dairy (butter, cheese, whey, curds, et al.) and no animal 
products (lard, eggs).  No prohibitions on alcohol.  Bring thick, chewy beer 
and good wine.
