HL Isabeau de Sevyngy replied to me about the odd message I got sent
since I run the Florilegium with:
> Well, you must get a lot of diggers like that, I am constantly suprised at
> how many times the florilegium shows up in my completely mundane searches.
> There are several items, if taken out of context... *grin*

Actually I don't. Otherwise I might have been a lot more irritated
than amused. Generally what I get a lot of is SPAM (I'm ready for
email that's traceable back to the originator except in a few cases)
and school kids who ask such things as:

Please send me everything you have on medieval armor.
or
I'm doing a report on life in the Middle Ages. Send me everything
you have on medieval food.

Sometimes I do wonder if some folks ever look at my files before
firing off a message to me.

I do try to reply to every message I'm sent and in the above cases I
will point to the section or a specific file. Although I've been
strongly tempted once or twice to actually send them all I have. And
see if their server or Internet provider is still very happy with them
at
all. Hey, you did ask...

I have also had at least a few folks who found out about the SCA
through the Florilegium and have decided to become members.

As far as items taken out of context...well the Florilegium is not
censored. Back when I was getting those statistics, the
chasity-belts-msg file was ranking in the top twenty files in total
hits, month after month. It was getting a higher number of hits than
most of my section indexes!
