My thoughts exactly.

Not as a day of classes.  However, for a feast last October, a shire
member donated 3 of her sheep.  Although many people were invaluable
at the various stages of the process, I got to escort the beasts the
entire way from "on the hoof" to "serve it forth".

It was very enlightening.  I am no less an omnivore for having done it
and I certainly have a greater appreciation for the finished dish.

IIRC, Ras did a lamb butchering/cooking as a class -- last Pennsic,
was it?
