SC - Food allergies

A thought just struck me.

There were cases of ppl dying from poisoning, but it
was never explained.

Has anyone explored the possibility that they were
exposed to some sort of exotic food that they were
allergic to and died of it? And they thought it was
poison? And that would explain why it only happened to
rich people also...
