Although the good Mr. Nebbits has been explained before,
I'll do so again. One year when I was traipsing off to war
a subscriber had lost her mail account. So every time a
post was sent to the list, the list got an automatic
reply to contact Mario Nebbits.

After about 500 or so replies to contact Mr. Nebbits
the list had just about enough of him. And imagine my
extreme joy to find over 1000 messages waiting for me when
I got back. The gnomes of the list had also, in their
disdain of said Nebbits, conceived quite an imaginary
lifetime for him.

Now Mario Nebbits ranks in the minds of old time Cook's
list fogeys alongside recipes for Harry Potter, discussions
of long pig, my dictatorial stand against sponsoring the
animal slaying at Pennsic and, the all time champion, Cuskynoles.
