It might help to know that the phrase was apparently popularized by
Garrison Keillor in his various Prairie Home Companion books and radio
program, and _also_ to know that Dana Carvey's Church Lady character,
whose actual name was Edith Strict, IIRC, first appeared in a sketch
about a Lutheran Church Potluck Supper.
