Since we're on the subject...

The only thing to do with Jello is, first of all, wait
until you're sick of fresh raspberries and the freezer is
full and you're out of margarine tubs to freeze them in
anyway (those without access to a backyard full of
raspberries may skip this step). Then mix raspberry Jello
(chilled to the syrupy stage) with the whipped topping of
your choice until it's a virulent pink (i.e. approximately
equal amounts, or maybe slightly less of the topping) and
add as many raspberries as you can and still be able to
stir them in without making a mess (or as many as you have,
whichever comes first). Chill 'til set. This is a dessert
or snack. It probably started life with a dignified,
cookbook-type name, but its True Name is Raspberry Goop.

One can also make variations such as Orange Goop or Peach
Goop (matching Jello flavour to fruit) but Raspberry Goop
is the One True Goop.
