[Sca-cooks] Capers caper

How would you describe the taste of capers since I haven't had a caper
before, being a socially and culturally depraved child :). I've heard of
capers before used in potato salads but don't want to open a jar and bite
into one and be horribly disgusted either.

About the cheese curds, are they period and are they related to the Colonial
spicy cheese nibbles that they have in Va?
