I have an AoA I got 17 years into my sentan...participation in the SCA, a
baronial level service award 12 years in, a cantonal award 13 years in and a
different barony's service award 18 years in. The AoA was from East, at the
request of one member of EK and about 10 members of Atlantia but for service
to Atlantia primarily, and Aethelmark back when it was still East [I am
originally from Rochester NY/Thescorre.] Got to love politics [can you say
the Bedfordites don't like me ;-(. Requests from about 10 people, and 2
different landed barons totally ignored. I got the service award because one
baron felt so sorry that he couldn't get me an AoA.]

Obviously if I were looking for cookies, I would have stopped long before I
ever got anything ;-)
margali
and on another thread - my mom is a good cook, my grandmother never cooked -
she had a cook and maid so I have no idea if she could even boil water
without burning it ;-) I am an adequate cook in some things and a decent
cook in others.

Oh, I don't know...I've got a local (baronial) arts award, and a
principality one (from about 12 years ago), but nothing else arts
related other than my laurel, despite having served as Kingdom A&S
Champion. Does this make folks like us "extraordinary" ? <g> or just
plain weird??? ;-P
