Yes, deer eat acorns. As I've never eaten leather, I don't know if the
venison actually TASTES like leather. It does have a decidedly gamey
flavor. The last venison I was given from the "acorn fed" area didn't taste
decent enough to eat, even after soaking all night in salt water.
