SC - Need Help with Swet Potato Recipes

I adored his cookbook. Saw it once and wanted to buy, but out of my price 
range, and then was upset I didn't. I hear now it is out of print. I met him 
at a lecture on being stereotyped as a "scary guy" he gave at the University. 
He was a real gentleman...excellent carriage, inoffense speech, and funny as 
hell. I remember him talking with me about his cookbook after the lecture. 
Said all the receipes were ones he had used more than once, and all foods he 
loved. Said that he did indeed eat fast food on the road--some appealed to 
him more than others (Burger King over Taco Bell). And he said his favorite 
way to give a dinner party was to pick a theme (like *blue* foods) and then 
invite people who didn't know each other at all. All of them, on the surface, 
had to have nothing in common. And he said they would be from all age groups. 
Then he would serve the first course and *leave*. He said that was how you 
got people to be friends that you would think would never have talked to each 
other. Like Alice Cooper and Pat Boone..... He said either those parties were 
a *huge* success because they *had* to talk to each other...or they failed. 
But they were always talked about for days....

So, how did you manage to wreck his flowerbeds????
