Does the history timeline specify its sources for those dates? 
According to the entry on Ruritania in the dictionary of Alberto 
Manguel and Gianni Guadalupi, "In 1733 Rudolf III visited the English 
court, ..." Hence Ruritania existed at least as early as 1733, and 
presumably a good deal earlier. Other references in the article 
suggest that Ruritania goes back to the middle ages ("the narrow, 
tortuous and picturesque streets of the original town") but do not 
specify a date.
