Conversely, my son absolutely demanded all manner of spicy foods, greasy
foods, and frequent doses of fried onions and peppers while in utero
(and my wife a recovering ulcer patient, I might add), but would also
refuse to nurse unless Mom stuck to the blandest of diets. "Spicy foods?
I beg your pardon... Moi??? Perhaps you have me mistaken for someone
_else_?" 

And then at five months he was raging about looking for the flesh of
animals, cooked rare. Go figure.
