> But Olwen, boys at art school think this is an attractive look

*grin* - I am finding this conversation endlessly amusing!

I have a 12 year old daughter who is proving herself to be boy mad
(*humorous sigh* where did I go wrong?) and far from being worried about her
attracting them, I am actually sending her to a mixed hostel (attached to
both her high school which is all girls and a brother all boy school) with
her knee high BMB (reduced down from FMB - clearly it is "bonk me boots")
and skin tight pvc pants which she "just had to have" for a Buffy themed
birthday party (she was Faith - no surprises there!). ... hmm, perhaps I
_will_ make her leave that outfit behind .... (As if I actually have any say
in the matter!)

(BTW, this is not meant to criticise anyone else's parenting - heaven
forbid! My style is just a bit ... more 70's, I guess ... than some. I
think that it was the way I was brought up and I actually came out (well,
yes, but not what I meant) okay. Hopefully she will too. Mind you, I am
much less enthusiastic about the belly button piercing she wants! Truly, I
am worried about infection leading to infertility. And also, she isn't
dating yet ... I wonder if my attitudes will change when she drags home a 17
year old wannabe biker? *grin*)

Oh, harping back to the discussion about keeping young daughters safe from
attention on camping events, a rather protective father of my acquaintance
is sending his daughter to Rowany this year - she will be camping with Blue
Feather *grin*!
