Bullpuckey.
Read the FAQs and books. The strictest forms of the various diets are
for short term, then you still stay on the low carb regime, but add
fibrous carb veggies in small amount until you get to just below
stopping losing weight, this is for the majority of the time you are
losing. As you approach your target, you can add carbs until you stop
losing, which is called 'maintenance' and the level you stay at to
maintain your desired weight.

I have been in ketosis since the 5th of Sept., 1998, not KETOACIDOSIS.
There is a big difference. I am also on this because of the nutritionist
assigned to me by my endocrinologist. I really don't think the US Navy
wants the trouble that killing me off would entail [does old family
lawyer, firm on retainer since the mid 1800s sound like fun to take on?
I really don't think so.] I have gone from 315 to 230. I can provide
pictures if you like.

Something to watch out for with these diets is that
you give yourself a break off of them every few weeks.
Most of them recommend that you only do them for 2-3
weeks at a time. They can cause organ damage if you do
them too long because they throw your body into
Ketosis.
