And it also depends on the Peerage.  I'm a Peer, but not for cooking.
I have a Grant level award for Cookery but that doesn't make me an
expert. (Neither does a Laurel, but you get the idea.)

Anyone is allowed to post. Although the ones who have been granted
a Peerage are often very knowledgable of their craft and have this
irritating tendancy to want to teach a lot. But some of the most prolific and
well appreciated posts are from non-Peers as well. Bear, Ras, Stephan and
many others.
