SC - Brown Favas

The scientific name is Vicia faba and there are a number of varieties
usually with a greenish-brown pod and a light colored seed occasionally
tinged with a brighter color.  The Latin form of the name is faba and you
will find a number of recipes in Platina specifically for favas.  The are
also known as horse bean, broad bean, windsor bean, english dwarf bean, tick
bean, pigeon bean, bell bean, haba, feve and silkworm bean.

Seems to me there are some recipes out in the veggie section of the
Florilegium.  I haven't been overly impressed with my work with favas
(mostly German), so I wish you luck.
