rolls or is that just call a roll? And how would you describe sashimi?

Okay. Makki refers to a roll, nigiri to the fish placed on top of the rice
and sashimi refers to just fish or thinly sliced meats, usually only seared
on the outside and rare or "blue" in the middle. Blue refering to only being
just cooked, but not raw.
